- Performed as sideman for the O'Jays, Solomon Burke, Tony Rivera, Flrodia Symphony, Tacoma Symphony,
Paul Cacia, Stan Mark, as well as many others. My day-job is teaching trumpet from my home studio but I also am the "caretaker" of Martin Marina downtown
Olympia.

John Brown- Trumpet

Ben McDonald - Trumpet
Ben McDonald was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. His first professional engagements where
with the Anchorage Symphony at age 11.
Ben received his degree from the University
of Kentucky in Music Education.
Ben has performed for over 25 years and has
the honor of currently performing with The Oregon Symphony and Seattle Opera.
Ben is also working as adjunct Brass Instructor with Pacific Lutheran
University.Ben has played with the Portland Opera
and Portland Chamber Orchestra. Ben was also Guest Principal Trumpet of the
Kirkland orchestra with its world premiere of new works by Rachmaninoff.
The summer of 2003 Ben was Principal
trumpet of the Northwest Mahler Festival under the Direction of Geoffrey Simons
playing and recording Mahler symphony #5. Ben has Performed solos with the Port
Angeles Symphony, the Cascade Symphony and the Seattle Philharmonic. In 2006 Ben
Performed as Artist in residence at the Oregon Episcopal School in Beaverton
Oregon.Ben is now performing full-time. He is
currently studying with Dr. William Fielder of Rutgers
University.
